I went to two car boot sales today which were sort of successful, but I couldn't get out early enough as I had to help my parents make beds in the guest rooms at our B&B as well as putting new towels in rooms etc, so we probably missed out on most of the good stuff at the car boots. That said, I managed to find a few good things! Here are some photos from the day and the bargains I found.

Floral shorts for 1 euro, win!

I'm so happy I got these beauties. They have studs on them which look really cool & grungy (plus easier as quite frankly I don't have the effort or motivation to put studs on myself) and they are brand new and I got them for 5 euros, can you tell how happy I am?!

Actually got this ages ago but thought I'd add it in. This isn't really for the weather we're having at the moment but I'm stocking up for winter already & this fair isle beauty that cost me 1 euro (!!!) will be on me every day (in between being washed obvs) with jeans boots and a lil beanie. I'm actually looking forward to winter so I can wear about 97% of my clothes again.

Ok, it needs to be ironed but other than that it looks really good on tucked into a skirt or with jeans with a leather jacket. 3 euros.

Rather basic but this glittery cardigan actually looks really good thrown on with my boyfriend jeans and the studded high tops mentioned above! 2 euros.

I wish I found this bum bag before I went to the festival in Spain this summer, but, better late than never, and I will definitely be wearing it next summer. Cost me 2 euros!

So, there you have it! Me filling my wardrobe up with more things I don't really need again, you can't beat a good bargain though! I will be doing my own car boot in September (second already this year!) and selling loads of my stuff. Having a good clear out does you good and I'm looking forward to receiving some $$$$$ (or euros in my case). I have 2 weeks, (2 weeks!!!) of holidays left, mustn't. panic. I feel like I should be doing loads with the time I have left but instead, I've chosen to sit and watch all the series of Skins back to front...ah well.

Ok, so technically it's Monday, but I have my excuses for this belated post. My weekend was a little bit busy which consisted of dining at the local farmers market (rosé at 1 euro, can't go wrong there), staying up till the early hours of the morning drinking champers & having a jam then laying by the pool & having a bonfire and roasting marshmallows, it's a hard life. I managed to squeeze in a bit of time today on here to show you lovely lot what I found this past Sunday at a recent 'vide grenier'. The heat was already at 30 degrees around 10 in the morning so as you can imagine my face was literally melting off. Anyway, here are some snaps from the day and what I found.

My mum bought me this little toile du jour vanity case for 2 euros.

Anything with jewels/sparkles on it & I'll have it, these two bracelets cost me a mere 4 euros, Nuff said.

I got this plain grey sweatshirt for 2 euros, obviously not something I will be wearing around this time of year, but I like to be prepared for the colder months. It's very 80s which I like and I styled it with my DM's, leggings, and chain which I purchased from past car boot sales.

I got these pearly beauties for 1,50. (more jewellery I don't need, ah well...)

I got this Jacqueline Riu frilled trench/mac for 10 euros. I think that's pretty reasonable considering it was in like brand new condition...I apologise for the rubbish photo, it was hard to get a decent photo of this coat without it looking creased!

 I got this jumper for 1 euro. My style can vary at times & I'm kind of liking the preppy look at the moment so I paired it with my stripy shirt to show how I'd wear it.

First Time Festival: Bilbao BBK Live

I've been promising this post for a wee while, so here it is -  Bilbao BBK Live!



Bilbao is a city located in the north Basque region of Spain where this quaint little festival is held. I wouldn't say Bilbao is the most beautiful city as it has a lot of industrial buildings in the center, BUT, the scenery from where the festival was set was just beautiful. The campsite was right on top of the hills of Kobetamendi-and as you can see from picture 8 (which I used noooo filter on at all by the way), the views were absolutely breath-taking.

I'm still recovering with a case of the 'post-festival blues' and being back in my little quiet town in France is a change from the crazy weekend I've had. That said, I am very happy to be back in my nice cozy bed and a warm shower. I think that's the nature of the whole camping thing though- you learn how to cook, clean and take care of yourself, with very little supplies and coping without things you normally take advantage of having at home. The people of Bilbao were lovely, welcoming, and as helpful as they could be- considering my Spanish is, let's say, rather poor...it is such a beautiful language though. I learned the word cheese while I was there, which is queso...how amazing is that? Even the most basic word and it sounds like a wee poem.

The highlights from the weekend include: a huge club sandwich at 'Peggy Sues diner' after a long day at the Guggenheim museum, going to the beach for the first time in about 2 years (Larrabasterra, pictured above), actually enjoying Green Days amazingly entertaining set, raving like a nutter to Fatboy Slim (so much respect for that man, he is GOD I tell you), fulfilling one of my dreams seeing KINGS OF LEON and getting on someone's shoulders about two rows away from the Followhill's (it was a beautiful moment), seeing Two Door Cinema Club's set at 2am, jumping around like mad and having so much fun, being slightly tipsy on rosé and joining in on the end of Depeche Mode's set...the beautiful sunshine, views and Spanish boys - SO. MUCH. EYE. CANDY.

And the lowlights? Well, I don't want to bring any negativity into this but I promise to be 100% honest on my blog so in short - the festival should have been a bit better organised wristband-wise (ahem, you'll understand if you were there), things weren't very well explained and there was a lot of confusion for everyone. Also, my tent was way too small and not having a cooler box...no cooler box= gooey cheese, soggy ham, melted Milka chocolate (ended up using it as choc spread anyway) and warm wine...smart move Lucie, smart move. Ah well, it was my first festival - can't be perfect first time around.

So that's it - the first festival over! I would definitely recommend going to Bilbao BBK Live. It's great for first-time festivals or regular festival-goers that want to escape the grey British weather and try something different. One other great thing about Bilbao BBK is that the music doesn't start until the evening so you have all day to relax, explore Bilbao, or top up on your tan. It's kind to your wallet too- it only cost me £90 (for the tickets alone) and for all the amazing bands I saw, great times I had plus scorching sunshine, it was totally worth it! I am officially in love with festivals!
